Hello! I agree to all of it. Especially your concerns Justin. I saw that Model 100, and didn't want it, but did tell someone about it. He put it back with an expression that's best unsaid. Next thing I know it left. Annoying. Now let's reuse that space in June for the swapmeet. And we'll need outside line managers. ----- Gregg C Levine gregg.drwho8@gmail.com "This signature was still fighting the timewars, Time and again." Justin,
I was Consignment manager this year, and am interested in what you have to add to your concerns. Shoplifting and other shrinkage have always been a concern in this venue, just like any retail establishment, for all the years it has existed. Bigger and better Consignment venues, like we had at our disposal this year, do make the issue more challenging.
Feel free to continue to email me directly if you wish to discuss your concerns even further.
Thank you, Jeff Salzman

Has anyone complained about shoplifting at consignment? Someone walked off with a Tandy 100 I had for sale as part of a lot of portables. I would consider a change where smaller items are on a shelf behind the staff or recommend air tags to consigners. In the same vein, one item I would consign (or have VCF sell) is those 3 prong power cords because 80% of the stuff for sale seemed to need one.

Let me be the first to say that the show was an improvement over the last shows, even though it did rain on the parade. Food was definitely an improvement over previous events and I hope the vendor will continue to be at VCF East and maybe the ZjQcmQRYFpfptBannerStart This Message Is From an External Sender This message came from outside your organization. Having Consignment in the Large building was a great improvement as well, even though there seems to be no way around the long lines in and checkout.
Consider this:
Having a Swapmeet in the same space as the consignment.
Not during VCF East, but at multiple times during the year.
Yes, it is much smaller than outdoor space but it will allow you to have it more times during the year and the weather issue is minimal.
I also realize loading and unloading probably is an issue, but please consider the suggestion.
