While looking up a chip, I found a USENET posting with a typical .signature UUCP bang path from "well known backbone site" ARPA has "at-hack" to forward to CSNET via the relay/gateway
UUCP: ...!cbosgd!osu-cis!bgsuvax!kemp CSNET: kemp@andy.bgsu.edu ARPA : kemp%andy.bgsu.edu@relay.cs.net
I seem to recall some trickery I used that looked something like this: diane.uucp!rutgers.edu!{osu-cis,cornel-cs,duke-nukem}!njc@attmail.com I recall that the use of % and @ towards the end if bang path got tricky as it required a bit of knowledge of the end system and which it would work with first. And the 3 systems in the OR part of the path ... well I can only recall the osu-cis machine, I don't recall what other 2 I might have used back then. Oddly I thought the % was used on bitnet. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies
