While I have used mine very little, the ARLabs programmer https://www.arlabs.com/device.html handles many original PROM devices as well as many, many other devices through modern. Some devices require additional adapters and looks like they can get expensive. I bought mine used from someone on a message board several years ago for $100 including an EPROM eraser. It also included the adapter for 1702s. On Sat, Jul 8, 2023 at 10:20 PM Bill Degnan via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:
I did not know Martin offered a 2708 model. Thanks. Is the Dajen reliable for you? I still need to repair mine. Thanks. Bill

Bill,
If you're buying something, get Martin Eberhard's programmer.
Remember, your Dajen SCI will program 2708s!
Thanks, Jonathan

I am hoping someone has a suggestion as to where I can get a 2708 eprom programmer. I don't mind spending a fair price for something reliable
and
solid. I would rather have one that is modern, but vintage is OK. If I have to I will build from a kit, but I prefer a manufactured model. Most of the 2708's I need to make are for S-100 systems.
I have a 1702 and a programmer and another that does everything north of 2708 (2716, 2732, etc) but nothing for the 2708s.
Thanks
