As requested, some final photos of the TRS-80 Model 4 post-surgery! She lives - no apparent ill effects from the exploding cap! Now I can finish going through the rest of the Tandy stuff and I’ll post soon. For reference this is a 128K Model 4, (gated array?), with dual half-height DS/DD floppies installed, not sure what else might be lurking in there! This was owned by Larry Lavins, who ran “The Claim Board” bbs (on this presumably!) and was president of PACS OS/2 group for some time. One of the photos shows some writing inside the floor of the case. Does anyone have any idea what that represents? I’m guessing the 6-27 is a date? Final inspection perhaps? https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1C_F28AXjqI8P7baLBs8Y5WPEwESNZMjl?usp... <https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1C_F28AXjqI8P7baLBs8Y5WPEwESNZMjl?usp=sharing> - Bob Shuster

Just a follow-up. Thanks to Dave McGuire (thanks Dave!) I received a replacement polyester film cap today and replaced the old exploded paper film cap on the 1980 TRS-80 Model 4 floppy drive power supply! Haven?t tested it in the machine yet, but thought I?d share the process! Photos in the directory below:

While Dave searches for this, does anyone else maybe have one available? On the Model 4, it?s C21 on the Astec #AA11320 power board, 0.1?F, 250V AC, metalized. Spacing on the leads is about 18mm? I should probably replace it with a polyester version if available.
