If you read "Dealers of lightning", then you will read firsthand detailed accounts of what actually happened and when from people that actually worked on the Alto at Xerox. I think that the author needed to do more research. Who did he interview at Standford University?

I didn't actually read the whole article, so I hadn't noticed that. When I saw this article it reminded me of the one I saw a couple days ago so I posted about his death. Went back and read it after seeing your email. I agree that the writers info conflicts with previous information. Tony
