Hello! Rich, Gregg Levine here, I'm not sure I'll be able to make it to your firm's swap meet, but in your email, (quoted below) happens to be an adapter I'm looking for, and this is a: Linksys PAP2 VOIP adapter. Is that thing going into your price set for it, pile, or a different kind of pile? If that's the case, that is a different kind of pile, please contact me off list for details on how to send the thing to me. And this really does not explain why the velociraptor is sound asleep inside the big exhibit space attached to the main building. ----- Gregg C Levine gregg.drwho8@gmail.com "This signature fought the Time Wars, time and again." System Source is hosting another swap meet this month, on July 20th.
My thanks to Ryan for coordinating this. Here's some of what I'm bringing (and I need to update the spreadsheet, will try to do that today):
I have years of accumulated computer/electronics stuff that I kept shoving into boxes and storing, and well, most of it has to go. I also have a *lot* of Sun systems that need to go, plus audio/stereo gear, plus more. I doubt I'll be able to bring everything this time around, there just isn't enough room or time.
I'd like to get some $$ for some of it. Other stuff is free to anyone who can make use of it: I'd rather give it away than recycle it. I plan on making two piles: free and unfree. ;) Unfree: cash (bills <= $20 please), check, Paypal.
[ If you're a museum and want some of this stuff, let me know. I would be happy to support efforts to restore/preserve gear. ]
I'll test as much of it as (a) I have time for and (b) I have the setup for. If I can't test something, we'll negotiate two prices: working and broken/parts bin, and then we'll settle up based on what it turns out to be.
Things marked with a * are probably too heavy or large for me to lift into my car. They're in my storage space ~1.5 miles from System Source so if folks want them, we can pop over there, I can bring them downstairs (I hope), and they can go straight into buyers' vehicles.
Sun gear: - * 2 Sun V240's with drives, memory, rails - * Sun GDM 20E20 monitor [ Part of my brain claims that someone asked me for this many years ago. But unfortunately I can't find the email message that would remind me who it was. If it was you, please ping me. ] - * Sun J4500 storage array and many boxes of 500G drives (with caddies) for it. - * 42U 2-post open frame freestanding 19" server rack. See the attached low-quality photo. ;) - 4 Sun VGA CRT monitors - 5 Sun Ultra tower systems in various states (10's, 60, ??) - Sun Enterprise Storage Array (chassis plus I think the power supplies in a box: it's in pieces IIRC) - crunched Sun DLT drive/changer, box of DLT tapes - Sun wide-SCSI enclosure (811? not sure) - Ultra 5 desktop? - Blade 100 desktop? - Ultra-24 tower system?
If you're interested in Sun Sparc pizza boxes, particularly Ultra-1 and Ultra-2 systems, let me know. I may not be able to bring them this time around, but I'm willing to to keep track of who wants what and figure out how to make it happen later. I have rather a lot of them, plus CPUs, memory, disks, etc. I know there are also some Sparc-4/5/10/20 systems, so let me know if you have any interest in those.
Audio gear: - Sony STR-AV47, prob not working - Onkyo TX-27, prob not working - Onkyo HT-R540, prob not working
Assorted stuff that I'll try to box up and bring: - USB cables (all types) - Ethernet cables - telco (RJ11) cables + adapters - coax (CATV) cables + splitters - power cables (120 VAC) - power cables (PC internal) - ribbon cables (PC internal) - IDE disk drives - SCSI disk drives - CD/DVD disk drives (internal) - PC sound cards - PC video cards - PC disk controllers - PC USB cards - various PC systems (working, not working) - various PC laptops (working, not working) - all kinds of RAM - external USB disk drives (plus wall warts) 80G and up - all kinds of wall warts (power adapters) - keyboards and mice - all kinds of electronic/computer gizmos, e.g., Linksys PAP2 VOIP adapter
And completely off tech: if anyone does stained glass as a hobby, I have an entire collection of glass and tools that I'm looking to offload: let's make a deal.
