Lids is an actual store, they're in malls and such. No idea about the legitimacy of that email though. On Tue, May 16, 2017 at 9:18 PM, Dan Roganti via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vintagecomputerfederation.org> wrote:
I didn't get this one, but last year those google drive phishing attacks started rearing it's ugly head at work
Something I did get recently was kind of spooky So I was wondering if it was another form of phishing attack I never attempted to click on their links
This place is called Lids.com sent me an message with a e-receipt, supposedly they sell souvenir merchandise, printed hats, etc anyone hear of them ???
it was saying thanks for my purchase, enclosed was a copy of the receipt, that it was paid in cash and it had my email address, the buyer was Zachery White and the store is located in TX I was very relieved it didn't say credit purchase
But a google search on his name gets several 100 hits so I don't know if that might uncover anything, they might have lifted my email address from this or other email lists Dan
