It was used with an adapter that stripped the serial info from the cable signal. It should be possible to feed it CP/M through the adapter connection. That would take a lot of research. Someone with a logic analyzer could capture the out going request signal at power up and possibly divine the protocol of what to send it. A great project for someone else.
