While I wholeheartedly welcome this change of policy, I was under the impression that our table fees served a second purpose as a blanket admission fee for all the InfoAge exhibits we have been able to visit while we were there.
VCF gives InfoAge a cut of the ticket sales, so they get their money.
It's more of a personal curiosity, though. Perhaps I misunderstood the overall purpose of the fee.
The overall purpose of the fee covered t-shirt, table cloth, exhibitor sign, cost of VCF renting the table from the table company. No exhibitor fee, so no free t-shirt this year.

In related news, we are no longer charging exhibitor table fees to acknowledge the significant effort exhibitors put forth in creating and presenting exhibits that are vital to the success of the event!
