sounds like we have a similar background, Dean! The TRS-80 Model I was my first computer, followed by the Atari 800. (then the ST). Randy

I'd love to do an Atari exhibit for thier 40th anniversary in 2019. Atari 800 was my second computer after the TRS-80 Model I. I did a lot more programming for that Atari, I think because it was more "fun". Color graphics, sound, a serial port and four memory mapped joystick ports. My friend and I wrote a two-player Battleship game in BASIC that you could play via modem. Fun times.

My SPO256 Talker board, a Peripheral Technologies PT-68K board, A modified Atari 520ST (with 2.5M of DRAM), an Atari 850 interface and a WD 1001-05 interface board. There are more things but I haven't really looked and I have more boxes.
The return of my Atari 800XL really makes me happy!
Awesome!
Exhibit all this at VCF East XIII. :)
I'll see what I can do, need to make sure everything is working. The note books are a bit spooky. When I first started it was easier to take notes then transfer to the computer. Tapes and cassette players were not very reliable. Spookier is that the note book is so neet.
