I would take a different approach. I think a number of modern micro-controllers should be fast enough to run Z80/6502/68000 code at real time speed in emulation and will cost less than $10 from places like digikey. In addition, you will be able to easily upgrade capabilities as micro-controller chip suppliers upgrade their chips and make use of their development tool suite. Tricky part would be to implement an emulator that runs at an accurate speed. regards, Mike Willegal
