If someone wants to tackle this, I'll refer this person to you. I could suggest he join the VCFed-Mid list, but Florida is another physical locality, a local connection may be more practical if someone can suggest a Florida venue.

If this person is on Facebook, I would suggest joining the Florida Retrocomputer Club Facebook group. They meet at least once a month, typically aiming for a central Florida location but they mix it up, and there are numerous Commodore, Apple etc. members. Several of which I know personally.
