Yeah it’s amazing, this is exactly what those sellers do also, when you want to get a price from them on how much they want for these things, which is absolutely ridiculous. The model is an MST-80B Microcomputer trainer. In a custom attaché case with power supply and breadboard. It has a ceramic 8080 processor on it. And of course support chips, some of them also are ceramic. Documentation is by Gordon D. Jones Thanks Mike R. Sent from: My extremely complicated, hand held electronic device.

Ok then what make and model is this 8080 trainer? I dont need a picture. And just go on e ay search the sold listings for your item. That's a good barometer for what anything relatively mainstream would sell for.

Of course there's nothing wrong with it. People are just lazy and inconsiderate.
Yes yes..but what make model is it? We can just look on the web for existing photos? problem solved.
Good point. ;)
The problem with not allowing images is that any links to images are liable to vanish rendering the archive of such messages pointless. Most of the free image store sites are struggling to make money and clamping down on image links and closing or reducing... Some, like PINTEREST make you sign up before you look at them.... ... I think some one said "a picture paints a thousand words and its probably true...
Thus the problem with using free image services. I have my own servers, so I (and only I) determine when content becomes unavailable, but people who think that's "too much work" just end up providing expiring content. Life is a trade-off.
One possible approach would be to have some server space set aside for this mailing list's content, and let people put stuff there. The classiccmp mailing lists, while otherwise dysfunctional, provide this and it works out quite well.
But then we're back to the problem of people thinking it's ok to just dive in and use tools without first learning anything about them.
