Not sure what your preference on heatshrink is, but this is the assortment we buy: https://www.grainger.com/product/RAYCHEM-Heat-Shrink-Tubing-Kit-160-22KY41 Real Raychem, good stuff. Decent price, too.
Maybe turned pin strips? Those are very useful any time that you don't have the right socket size. I use them often.
Second that, we keep the M:M header strips around too. Super handy for making up adapters. Thanks, Jonathan
