"HUGE"? You don't get out much, do you. ;) You should head over to LSSM at some point. We have functional individual machines that weigh in excess of a ton. -Dave On 4/20/23 06:55, Charlie's Computers via vcf-midatlantic wrote:
OMG that thing is HUGE, the only thing I’ve ever done is rescue 2 Power Mac G5s, 1 Mac Pro (It was broken so I am building a hackintosh PC inside of the case with all new parts), an LC III (it had no hard drive and I couldn’t find a SCSI hard drive so I turned it into a giant raspberry pi case), and an Apple II+ that I am selling. It all fit into the back of a car though.

It's always fun to rescue a huge thing and as you're driving the trailer home you ask yourself, "what have I done?"
Here it is inside, getting in was a Herculean task: https://www.vintagecomputer.net/ibm/as400e/AS400e_620.png
Next - it takes 25 hard drives, I am going to scale that back, and the power to hopefully limit to less than 15 amps. I have a terminal, tape unit and the software.
