I don’t think that had a hardware transit lock, other than as part of the shipping material. More often, the head is stuck from light rust or congealed lubricant. This was the case with my proprinter. Some carefully applied light percussive force was sufficient to free it. The I cleaned and lubed the rails with sewing machine oil.
