So far it's me, Corey, and Jeff B. for Maker Faire .... doesn't anyone else want to go? Kind of lame if all we show is Apple and Commodore. On 08/29/2018 01:51 AM, Evan Koblentz wrote:
Only two people (Corey and I) signed up for the VCF booth at Maker Faire. That's not enough. We need people to sign up now so we're not scrambling later.
We will have plenty of tickets to go around for those who sign up.
Note: signing up means you're committing to bring a demo of a vintage computer hack (old or new, hardware or software); it's got to be unique vs. the existing signed-up hacks; and you've got to work our both most of the day, both days -- you can't set up something and walk away.

World Maker Faire is September 22-23 at the N.Y. Hall of Science (Queens).
We applied for a 10x20 demo booth. Our theme is "Cool hacks for old computers." Any cool hacks will do! Modern, vintage, hardware, software, etc.

We have a hotel room for Saturday the 22nd. There are two beds. I get dibs for one bed. Jeff B. has first right of refusal for the other.
Anyone's welcome to crash on the floor, etc.
There will be several tickets available. I don't have an exact number. As always, the tickets are for people who put serious hours into staffing our booth and bringing demos. They're not for general freebies (unless we have extra at the last minute).
