That's a real shame. When I lived in Petaluma in the early 2000's I used to visit the Rohnert Park HSC weekly along with Weird Stuff Warehouse in the south bay. Moving back to the east coast made it really obvious how special those places were. There's nothing like either store here in the DC area, much to my disappointment. Unless something changed they are on a month to month lease and are looking to sell the business, though they are doing a blowout clearance sale just in case they can’t find a buyer.

They were the classic electronics surplus stores with bins full of dusty components and strange secrets sitting on top of each other. The last time I was in Silicon Valley, I stopped there and grabbed some S-100 prototyping boards (they had dozens of them), and looked through their collection of other S-100 boards. They had a fair amount of other vintage computing stuff too.
