Yes, thank you for that information.
Even though I did not specify in my previous email, I did follow this already and did eliminate the fact that that it was a bad power supply by  replacing the power supply, which was originally bad. Currently I am working with a good power supply, eliminating that as a possible issue.

Still as a reported, the motherboard is “dead “

This is the reason why I sent my email.
I did not want to go into great detail here because this is not really the place to do that.

Thank you again
Mike

I have an IBM “XT” I believe,  it’s model 5160 with a motherboard that is not working, will not boot at all.
It is a 640 K motherboard fully populated with RAM, but has two bios chips only.

My question here is,
who in the group would be willing to help me work on it at the workshop?

I can bring a power supply and the motherboard, video card and probably a speaker for diagnostics, but not the entire computer since the board is already been removed.

I should have a working eight bit video card to diagnose with.

I have no idea where to start exactly besides the power supply, which checks out fine.

Please let me know who is capable of helping, and if he/she  will be at the March workshop this month.

Mike
