Corey, Don't forget that most of those custom chips have community replacements, like PLAnkton (http://www.melon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2370) or SuperPLA. I won't own a vintage computer which is nearly all custom chips where you need to hoard them for the future. As an Apple guy I don't even own a IIc, IIe or a GS for that reason. ROMs don't count, you can always burn a prom to replace it.
