Here's a good thread about rebuilding the NeXT after replacing a dead battery http://www.nextcomputers.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3475&sid=9630ef34e48339e... I am looking also to see if one has a *working* battery how to back up the configuration to diskette or the network or something before the battery dies so one can resume without a big thing to rebuild the machine config, trying to guess everything I did to get it just right.
