eh-hem, in the proverbial query of paleotechnology, of which came first, the Tackball came first the Mouse came much after so technically the Mouse is an upside Trackball ;)
Very good! I've said many times (and maybe wrote in my book -- I forget!) that mobile computing (clay tablets, abacus, quipu, etc.) came before non-mobile computing, so we should be calling mobile computers just regular computers, and we should be calling regular computers non-mobile computers. :)
