Similar to what Evan said, cyclists too check the weather. But we have rules. We don't trust the weather report. Maybe put a little faith in the night before and only a bit more trust the day of (we cover several geographic zones on our rides). Just ask anyone in Toms River about 'local TV weather reporting'.
A lot of my friends (and a few others on this list!)are cyclists. Difference is, when it's rainy or snowy, they stay home and use rollers. We distance runners put on another layer and go outside. :)
