My opinion is the same as yours, but my guess would be that owning Steve's Mac, or a game-day jersey worn by your team's quarterback, or a screen-used prop from your favorite movie, could give the owner a sense of personal connection to Jobs, the quarterback, or the star of their favorite movie.
