I have a need for two S100 backplane connectors. Drop me a note
off-list if you have two to spare. Thanks.
What spacing? Obviously 0.125" between contacts, but what about across the other way?
It's hard to get an exact measurement, but my digital caliper says spacing on center is somewhere between 0.285" and 0.290". These are for an SD Systems Z80 Starter Kit board.
Apparently I don't know how to read a caliper. It's more like 0.250".
?There are two different Row spacings out in the wild. As Bill showed here already. I recall the wider spec was originally intended for wire-wrap backplanes, but they also sold the solder pin variety. This place has the ? the skinny variety . It's become a popular source for the retro projects in the S-100 group. ? ? I used them to make another ?of their retro ? backplane ? projects? . Th ?is? say ?s? it's 0.24" Row spacing ?, only $3.95? http://anchor-electronics.com/product/100-pin-125-inch-card-edge-connector/
Thanks Dan, but I've determined that it's definitely the wider (0.250") size. Mike Loewen mloewen@cpumagic.scol.pa.us Old Technology http://q7.neurotica.com/Oldtech/
