The cancellation is due to the financial difficulties facing Maker Media, our partner in producing the event since 2010. This is a very difficult decision to make, but there is no other option at this time. While it is not possible to produce World Maker Faire at NYSCI in September, we hope it is not the end of Maker Faire. There may be other ways we can continue to bring this exceptional event to New York, but it will take time to figure out. "
