When I brought a bunch of SGIs to VCF and networked them and played BZFLAG and Dogfight, I got flack for that.
I kept explaining how things like this were huge at the time, but nope.
I often bring HP minicomputers to VCF. They're business, engineering, small and large company systems, and I try to show off software that people used back in the day. But, a certain percentage of our attendees want to see games, so I include a few. It's just a fact of modern life. It keeps a few more people interested in my exhibits.
