If your drive uses 4.7uF bipolar electrolytics on the spindle motor board (if it does there will be three, they look like regular electrolytics with no polarizing marks), you can replace with 4.7uF MLCC in 1206 surface mount packaging. We've been doing it on all PS/2 drives we fix up.
