As suggested above by Herb, and as stated in the actual commit message: this isn't the kernel dropping FDC support, this is that no one currently involved in kernel dev is able to test on real hardware. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who's interested in both older computers and Linux kernel development to take up a project, get their name in the Linux kernel, and help keep some older but still used hardware supported! I'd send my name in but I've got too much on my plate as-is. Thanks, Jonathan On Sun, Jul 28, 2019 at 2:54 PM Herb Johnson via vcf-midatlantic < vcf-midatlantic@lists.vcfed.org> wrote:
Thanks for the head's up. I'll alert my Multibus colleagues, see if any of them want to pick up support. - regards, Herb
