The seller clearly knows what it is, and the aggravation of bidding will get him/her quite a bit of cash, so I really don't see that working out. Unfortunately I lack the financial wherewithal (especially after corporate tax day a few weeks ago) to "make him an offer he cannot refuse", so to speak. -Dave On 11/13/2015 03:07 PM, Chris Fala via vcf-midatlantic wrote:
Maybe one of you guys can contact the seller and make a deal so as to avoid the aggravation of bidding. The other possibility is that there will be few people who are interested who can also arrange to pick it up locally. Good luck to you all.

I was about to bid, but I won't if you're chasing it. But who are we kidding; one of the oldest PDP-11 models, in near-showroom condition..it'll likely go for thousands.
(and DAMMIT it's one of the few models I don't have!)

Uhgg I realllyyy shouldn't, but I can't stop myself from putting in at-least one bid. My parents may kill me if they see another rack enter this basement though hah. But we all know how these auctions usually go...

Not what I collect, but some may be interested.
I can probably arrange pickup and short term storage if needed.
