Does smoke damage anything?
It can, depending on its composition. Some components of smoke can condense on surfaces, and the condensate is often corrosive. This isn't an issue for most things, but for my lab equipment it can damage sensitive RF connectors in the electronics side, and it can (and did) damage coatings and surfaces in the optics area. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA
