Anyone interested in joining a pool to guess the realized prices in this auction? I find some of Christie's estimates outrageously high, and others very low. I am proposing the following: We each look at the Christie's estimates at https://onlineonly.christies.com/s/firsts-history-computing-paul-g-allen-col... Those who want to participate will submit their estimates for the realized price (before buyer's premium) for each of the 58 objects. Whoever comes closest to the actual dollars realized wins the pool. (Total for all items that actually sell) If lot does not sell, it is removed from the total. Suggesting $20 to join. If 20 of us in, the winner collects $4000. We will need to submit before the auction opens on Aug 23rd Disclosure: I will bid on a few of the lots on behalf of the Computer Museum @ System Source. I doubt my bids will markedly change the total. Who is in? I'll manage, and donate the fees that square will charge on the $20 paid in to fund the pool.
