I didn't switch over to Linux until 1995, on a 486-66. That was Slackware 2.2.0, running Linux kernel 1.2.1. I still have the diskette images for Slackware, if anyone wants to install it. :-)
ESIX was a damn fine OS. I had an account on a friend's ESIX system in the early 1990s and liked it quite a lot. Not quite as much as my SunOS machines, mind you, but a lot. :) -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA
