Despite being so tiny, the full QWERTY keyboard was easy to use with just your thumbs, and the clicking scroll wheel was sufficient to navigate the GUI. I abhor touch-screen phones because there's no way to type-ahead, and my finger is opaque: I'm blocking the screen when interacting with it. 2) The tail wagging the dog: RIM was a trusted business communications tools due to the secure back-end. It was ultra-reliable from end to end 3) Like today's "cloud based services", the device has little value operating stand-alone. Once the server is gone, the device is mostly useless. -- jeffrey jonas
