thanks. I placed my order with the first 250 kits when Oscar first opened up the kit for sale, but I best I am the last to build one from this batch, eh? Better late than never. Actually I bet there are a few unfinished kits still to be found. I wonder how many of the first 250 are currently blinking away on the desk or shelf.
My prototype was running great until the RPi crapped all over the SD card. I've gotta go dig around and find out what to reload it with. I'm not on any of the PiDP-8 forums or anything yet.
Found out something interesting about the SD cards, even if you write protect them the internals will write to the memory. Some kind of book keeping. I need to double check that I read that correctly. It seemed to suggest that the SD's internal did writes on reads. So once I get the Pi up and running I'll backup the image to my NAS. -- Linux Home Automation Neil Cherry ncherry@linuxha.com http://www.linuxha.com/ Main site http://linuxha.blogspot.com/ My HA Blog Author of: Linux Smart Homes For Dummies
