A little Festivus instigation...
Apparently, it used to be A Thing to make holiday wreaths from punchcards.
My wife Jayme happened across his one for sale: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/709541509395750
And then we found: http://www.computerhistory.org/collections/catalog/102667304
And a bunch more on Google Image search, including: https://aadl.org/N021_0795_002
Well I might need one of these. ;)
Oh yes, it was very much A Thing. Lots of people had them, technical or otherwise, in the 70s. When I was growing up we always had one of these around Christmas. Some folks my grandmother worked with made them and gave them out to their coworkers and they were much loved. They were always painted with that gaudy gold spray paint. I will never forget those silly things. :-) -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA
