The funny thing was we had just had a fire drill about 50 minutes before the earthquake.

I definitely felt it. I was in Holmdel in a 5th grade classroom. Not too far from it. I thought it was a truck going by, then that didn't make sense, then thought it was children stomping on the 2nd floor, then it went on for too long and was too strong. Saw the projector screen moving the ceiling tiles shaking and making noise. Then I thought it must be an earthquake. We don't have earthquake drills in NJ. I wonder if they have them in California.
