OI knew the OSI-400 could support the 6501, but I never expected anyone to have a chance to try it out.
Yeah, this was a pretty rare situation where the owner of the MOS 6501 was more interested in *trying* it even if it meant finding out that it was dead. I suspect most people with 6501s sort of don't really want to know if it's dead, as "definitely dead" probably decreases the value :P There is of course no good reason to think an OSI 400 board would blow up a 6501 (it is after all one of the only things ever designed to support it), but now we know for *sure* it won't.
