Wow this was some amazing work bringing that system back "on-line". It would be great to see it.
I don't want to take away from the gifted folks working on the units currently, but I do wish the community was more aware of the York University folks that brought the system back "on-linke" years ago: https://museum.eecs.yorku.ca/nabu In 2009, it looks like. They implemented an emulator, got the system up, and they were provided the original files in ~2010, according to the link. I believe these are the same files being used in these new videos and work efforts. Again, kudos for the current efforts, but I feel the York folks should get a bunch of credit for archiving the original files and creating the emulator. Jim

Is anyone planning on bringing a NABU to Festivus? I would love to play with it in the game room...

Yes! As of last night the NABU network is fully up and running!
I have been following along with all the videos of it.
This is the latest video announcing that it’s up and how to connect.
Big thanks to DJ and others in the community worked hard to get this to this point.
I have received my NABU yesterday and I am just waiting on an RS422 adapter now to connect.

With the transition to fiber, there is unused CATV coax between the makerspace & hotel, and soon the Makerspace and 9010.
If asked nicely, the usual suspects can pull RG-11 between 9010 and 9036 when the 10GB fiber goes in....

Might the installed base of vintage computer users of the system end up larger than the user base when originally released? :-O
Precursors to the internet are going to be interesting footnotes... worthy of museum consideration...!
