Well it appears that the website is back up and running. I had texted Bob and heard back from his daughter Megan. She wanted to share that they appreciated me reaching out. She said, "he loved being involved with the vintage computer community, and it was a huge part of who he was for his whole life." Bob didn't want a formal memorial service, but they are working on a celebration of life. Check the website for updates.
