So the museum is deassessing the Bendix? Are there other items the museum is looking to convert to cash? Does the deassession policy specify RR auctions as the place for these items to be sold? Inquiring minds want to know!
Please read the previous emails. The Bendix G15 has been on loan for many years. It is actually beyond the loan period of 5 years. We are about 2 or 3 more years beyond that. We have known for some time that the family that owns it wanted to sell it. They explore a few methods and were not happy until they found RR auction. They chose to sell this one because of the low serial number of 3. In addition the provenance. It was used in the construction of the Baltimore Tunnel I believe. I don’t have the exact details in front of me because I’m on a flight to VCF West. Please let me know if anyone has any further questions or concerns.

That is the Bendix at the VCF Museum...
The photo is in the Museum itself.
