PDF page 91 shows the H-Plate. While it will probably stay in place if the typing unit is properly screwed down, if you lose it, you will be very unhappy. It is spring loaded, so it can pop out.
That's one of the missing pieces that has relegated my "dropped on its face" Model 33 ASR to parts unit status. I'm sure it flew off into the darkness at the recycler that I bought it from. Thanks, Jonathan
