Cool. I think it’s still mainly read-only but it is being actively developed and supported, so hopefully more features arrive in the future.

Because such a thing would be of limited utility. You could read and write disks that have one sector format, like the 3.5" versions. They cannot handle arbitrary sector formats like most real floppy controller chips with direct access to their configuration registers.
One way to deal with this is the Greaseweazle, but that's a pretty specialized disk imaging tool that requires some knowledge to be able to use properly. It's not "plug and play" write-me-an-Amiga-disk or whatever, and it's not intended to be.
