Sure. Some people do this with crock pots, etc. There will be a plug near the table to do this.
My wife is looking to see if she has the necessary Sterno stuff. But if you have that available then I won't bring mine.
I would expect that we don't have Sterno, but likely the chafing dishes.

It is pretty late in the game for me to check availability, but not too late. I would suggest that anyone let me know of their needs. If there is a need I will try to find chafing dishes or ask someone to bring some sterno.
