Here's a nice donation from Martin (of our neighbor organization OMARC): "I have a dozen Western Electric and ITT 1A2 model 2565 (1972 vintage) phones. The batch I have came out of the IBM Corporate Campus on Castle Drive in Armonk, NY. Many still have dial cards depicting (914) 765-xxxx numbers."
Awesome! 1A2 systems are pretty neat -- I have a 4-line setup (currently packed up) that was hooked up to my Asterisk box in Troy. I'd be happy to set one up for VCF if we can find a KSU to go with them.
Might take you up on that. I want us to get a POTS line simulator (I'm fond of the old Teltone brand) so that we can have "real" computer/modem to server/modem handshake communications within the museum.
