A picture of the complete machine would help a lot. Just "an 11/23" doesn't really give much information, and will result in wildly different valuations.
I was trying to avoid multiple questions and have someone take this off my plate. I don't have time for this. It seems that I now have to get involved now that I spoke up and let everyone know about it. I really didn't want to spend any more time on this and have someone else work with this person (not me being the middleman). My focus right now needs to be on VCF East. Here are pictures: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1i_RB1kDxLiS22nbEj2FBpjYD1EXb5bJo?usp... Here is what he said: *"Tried plugging it in and flipping the three front panel switches up , from left to right. Nothing happened.* *Looked at the back panel again, and noticed a small switch next to the power cord. Flipped this up. Fan started running. Flipped three front panel switches again. * *When I flipped DC ON OFF switch, DC ON light lit, and RUN light flashed on very briefly.* *When I flipped other two switches, nothing further happened.**"* That's all I have. An 11/23 in an open frame with no case will be $x. An 11/23 in a full BA23 with drives and controllers and the like will be 5x the price.
Feel free to email me or any of the other DEC weenies, or just post back to the list - we all have opinions :)

do they have a dollar figure in mind that they'd want for this item?
No. That's the point. They need help. I referred them to look at completed eBay sales or to post on forum.vcfed.org and the man said "I do not feel 'tech literate' enough to try to handle myself. If you would be willing to post it for me, or know of anyone else who would be willing to do so, I would gladly pay a commission to whomever is able to get it sold for me. "
So they have no idea what it is worth and need help figuring it out. I don't have the time.
Thanks, Andrew Mattera

Someone contacted me to see if I could help them sell their PDP
11/23. I
have yet to respond as I really don't know how to tell them that I don't have time. But, I can at least post to this list and see if someone here can help them.
Let me know and I will send you their email address.
Take care!
