Funny you should mention that because the trend the past month for Apple specific stuff has mostly gone the other way. My focus is much narrower than yours as my main interests are Apple II, early Mac and video game consoles (8 bit and some 16 bit) so my observations are less helpful to the masses. The Apple II and compact Mac (specific ones) prices have been slowly increasing with some notable exceptions. The number of high priced "buy it now" items moving has increased dramatically, as I have seen it do this time of year for the past 4-5 years I've been watching it closely, along with higher average auction prices/final bids for some of the harder to come by items. Obviously they always garner higher prices than average items, but lately they've seen an uptick in their winning bids. The wild swings have mostly come with some good deals on items that get dumped onto eBay at the same time from multiple sellers. The first one goes high, the next few scale downward as they go up for auction. Again, something that happens often when a particular market/sub section of a market gets flooded but this time of year is when it seems to happen the most in the shortest amount of time. Anyone looking for deals on Apple II and compact Mac stuff should hurry, shortly all the asking prices will go up and the crazy Christmas buyers will soon be jumping on those **L@@k RARE Steve Jobs** items! ;-) Tony
