This may be a dumb question, but I've always wondered if I've been pronouncing his name correctly all these years. Is it pronounced the way it appears to be spelled, "god-bought" or does it come from a language where the 't' would be silent or some other variation?
I've wondered this myself. I've always pronounced it "god-bowt", with the second syllable rhyming with "out", but I've never been sure. -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA
