This reminds me: does anyone have copies paper or otherwise of the motorola MACSBUG program and source code for the 68k? It was once available on Motorola's BBS, but seems to be lost to time with regards to the modern internet.
The only available version nowadays seems to be Apple's "Fork" of MACSBUG where they integrated it as the debugger with the older Macintosh hardware, 68k and PPC stuff. The original Motorola version was hardware agnostic and had source code with it to allow porting it to other platforms.
The name MACSBUG has nothing to do with macintosh hardware, and has to do with the fact that the original name of the 68k was MACSS (as seen on early 68k chips such as http://www.chipdb.org/data/media/463/Motorola_MC6800L4_MACSS_qwerty.jpg ), standing for "Motorola Advanced Computer System on Silicon" -- Jonathan Gevaryahu jgevaryahu@gmail.com jgevaryahu@hotmail.com
