Pretty sure you can just use sx/rx (or the Y, Z modem equivalents) or Kermit to zap it over the link -- I don't think it cares what the go-between medium is. You'll need a terminal on the vintage machine end that can do X/Y/Zmodem or Kermit. And, of course, if you're setting up a physical Linux (or other UNIX-like system) box, you can just serial attach directly to the machine if you want. Lynx will allow you to save pages or download files from them. You can use wget or FTP things to the *NIX box as well. I guess the other thing the machine I would dial into would need to do is to be able to cache on that machine then allow me to use xmodem/ymodem so I can download binary files.
Anyone know what I would be able to use to do that?
I know I could setup the telnetd on a Linux Box, but I don’t know how to transfer from a Linux box with modem protocols.
